Carpentry

Carpentry in Dartmouth & across the South Coast

We do framing, structural repairs, doors and windows, built-ins, and finish work. Much of it is in older South Coast homes, where the framing is out of square and new work has to be fitted to what is already there.

What's included

What carpentry covers

  • Rough framing and structural repairs
  • Door and window installation
  • Built-in shelving, benches, and cabinetry
  • Rot repair and exterior wood replacement
  • Stairs, railings, and newel posts
  • Custom one-off projects

The owner is on the job

Dominick Baganha runs the work on site.

Older homes

Most South Coast homes are out of square. Trim and cabinetry are scribed and shimmed to fit the existing conditions.

What customers say

Dominick was great to work with! He quickly provided a quote and got started on remodeling our outdated shower to make it more accessible. He's knowledgeable, hardworking, respectful, and very reasonably priced. He listened to our vision and brought it to life. We couldn't recommend him enough! Like look at this transformation!

Questions

Common questions

Do you charge for estimates?

No. Estimates are free. We visit the site, review the scope, and follow up with a written price.

How soon can you start?

Start times depend on the size of the job and the time of year. Smaller repairs and flooring installs start sooner than full remodels. Every estimate includes a start window, and we say up front when we are booked out.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry liability insurance and work under Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration. Documentation is provided before work starts.

Do you handle permits?

Yes, for work that requires them. We confirm whether a permit is needed, file it, and coordinate inspections with the town.

Who will be on the job?

Dominick Baganha, the owner, runs the work on site. Licensed electricians and plumbers are brought in when the job requires them.
